I like to experiment with different materials and themes. In the beginning I started out working with semi-precious stones and sterling silver. Over the last few years, I have been experimenting with fused glass in various styles and have incorporated these techniques into my work.
For this new set of pieces I wanted to work with organized, edged shapes but make them look soft and feminine.
Of course they are! Also plums, pears and more, but now you can also get them as glass art.
Trees, especially fruit trees, always inspired me, particularly the shapes and the colours. With the change of seasons the trees are changing all the time, from beautiful flowers in the spring, to wonderful fruit for us to enjoy and colourful leaves in the autumn.
For this reason, to celebrate nature’s creation of fruit trees, I designed the following collection. It contains fused-glass productions in frames, as pendants and as Christmas decorations.
I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
They will be available at the Bushel Box Farm Shop in Willingham. This is a lovely little farm shop that sells fruit from their own orchard (as well as other products sourced locally), which is family run and which has been in the same family for at least three generations.
