I recently held my first two weekend events as part of Cambridgeshire Open Studios. I would really like to thank all the people who came in spite of the blazingly hot weather we had for both weekends.

At this event I displayed pieces from three new collections. There was some interesting discussions that came up as a result of different interpretations of the various pieces.

Below are some pictures from my studio where the event was held.

The Townhouse Zone consists of a group of artistic pieces that includes: jewellery, paintings, and framed glass art, based on a common theme. It represents the calm feeling that comes from compromise, acceptance and a great deal of patience.

The Townhouse Zone will be on display during Cambridge Open Studios. It consists of many more pieces than shown here.

Spring 2013 Jewellery Collection

I am happy to present to you my newest jewellery collection. The rabbits and leaves from the pendants represent the awakening of new life in the Spring captured in glass.

As usual, the metal is sterling silver throughout. The stones I used were primarily agates. Agate is a very fascinating stone. It comes in many beautiful colours and interesting patterns.

I chose mainly matt agates in blues, greens, and rustic reds, which complement the hand-made fused-glass pendants with the russet coloured copper emblems.

The pieces from this collection are now available from the Primavera Gallery on King’s Parade in Cambridge, UK.

This collection is a celebration of cosmic variety, from the more familiar, to the absract, and combinations thereof.  The watermelon tourmalines that I used for this collection are amazing stones, where a single crystal can contain many different colours. I also used some beautiful, red, faceted, rubies. The rest is made of sterling silver with some accents of 9 carat gold.
